Making recruiting NYS easier for college coaches is a major part of our “Why”.

It is our belief that those of us who truly love the game of football - and I mean deep down in our soul and bones - do so because we have experienced its unique magic and it has made us better human beings.

We have all had coaches/teammates and experiences through this soulful game that have made a profound difference in our lives. Prospect New York is living our mantra - Make a Difference - by offering to help student athletes without burdening them or their families with fees. Similarly, at some point in our journey we have all been an underdog. It’s these values that inspired us to make a difference in the lives of NYS football players. Football in this state and players from smaller schools have been undervalued and overlooked for too long. We are here to change the narrative.

I have been in love with football since I was old enough to pull a ball bag for my dads (Mike Monacelli) Cal-Mum teams in the 1980’s. I was fortunate enough to play for my dad and help those Cal-Mum teams to 4 straight state Championships in the mid 90’s. After that I went on to play 4 years of division 1 football at UB. There, I saw my college coaches dedicate their lives to making a difference in our lives including missing out on their own family time due to recruiting. Making recruiting NYS easier for college coaches is a major part of our “Why”. Let us do the work for you. We will find diamonds in the rough from schools you may have never even heard of.

I have been coaching high school football in NYS for the last 18 years at small and large schools. My diverse experience has left an indelible mark on me. I have played with and coached the best of the best from the FBS level to high school football at large and small schools. Prospect New York works tirelessly with an underdog chip on our shoulders to promote NYS football and make a difference.
